At Christ Academy Institute of Law (CAIL), we believe a credible examination system is fundamental to quality legal education. As a law college affiliated with Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), CAIL maintains a dedicated Examination Cell under the leadership of the Principal.

The Cell ensures that every assessment, internal or external, follows high standards of fairness, transparency, and academic integrity.

Internal examinations are planned and organised by CAIL, while external examinations are conducted in accordance with KSLU notifications, regulations, and guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Examination Cell

The Examination Cell at CAIL undertakes a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth and credible conduct of examinations

Key Responsibilities

  • The Examination Cell shall prepare the relevant timetable, seating arrangements, and invigilation schedule for internal examinations and display them on the notice board.
  • The Examination Cell collaborates with faculty members to develop well-structured examination papers that align with the learning outcomes of each course.
  • The Examination Cell shall conduct pre-examination meetings to brief faculty members on the examination procedures.
  • The Examination Cell shall conduct committee meetings for planning and ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations, as well as for the effective distribution of examination-related responsibilities.
  • During the examination period, the Examination Cell oversees the smooth and secure conduct of all assessments. It coordinates with invigilators, addresses queries, and ensures that the examination environment is conducive to fair and unbiased evaluation.
  • After the examinations are completed, the Examination Cell oversees the evaluation and grading process. It follows standardised marking schemes to ensure consistency and fairness across all assessments.
  • The Examination Cell ensures that all examination-related documents are submitted to the University within the stipulated time.
  • The Examination Cell ensures the timely implementation of all circulars, guidelines, office orders, and notifications issued by the University.

Examination Guidelines

Before the Examination

  • Carry your hall ticket and valid ID card.
  • Confirm your examination seating.
  • Bring only permitted stationery and essential items.
  • Follow the prescribed dress code and examination instructions.

During the Examination

  • Write your KSLU registration number clearly.
  • Follow the prescribed answer-script format.
  • Use blue or black ink.
  • Follow invigilator instructions throughout the examination.

Submission

  • Submit the answer script as instructed.
  • Do not remove examination materials from the venue.
  • Late or improper submission may result in the candidate being marked absent.
