The Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies Library is a hub for knowledge enhancement, thoughtfully designed to meet the academic needs of students and faculty, to support your academic growth and success. It offers a wide range of resources, including books, magazines, journals, encyclopedias, databases, and digital collections accessible through the fully automated management system, ensuring users can locate and utilise these resources efficiently.
The library offers spacious seating facilities and a calm, learner-friendly ambience that supports academic and research activities. A team of trained and committed library professionals ensures efficient service delivery to the academic community. The library is located on the second and third floors and spans 1,800 sq. m.

The Library maintains a collection of physical academic resources to support the curriculum and wider learning needs of students and faculty. These include books, journals, magazines, newspapers, reference materials, encyclopedias, and other print resources.
The Library also provides specialised facilities such as book-bank support and question-bank resources for eligible users.
Online
The Library provides access to electronic information resources through digital platforms, databases, e-journals, e-books, institutional repositories, and other online academic resources.
Users can also access the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), institutional digital resources, and available electronic resources through remote-access facilities.

Library users are expected to follow the prescribed timings and library regulations while using the facilities.
Library Rules
The Library maintains a quiet, respectful, and learner-friendly environment. All users are expected to follow these guidelines:
- A valid college identity card is compulsory for accessing the Library and conducting library transactions.
- Users must maintain silence within the Library premises.
- Personal belongings should be deposited at the designated property counter.
- The Library does not take responsibility for personal items left unattended.
- The use of mobile phones and audio devices is prohibited within the Library premises.
- Food and refreshments are not permitted inside the Library.
- Users must not use another person’s identity card.
- Library materials must be handled carefully and returned within the prescribed period.
- Users are responsible for all resources issued against their identity card.
- Books must be issued and returned through the designated circulation desk.
- Books may be reserved through the OPAC or with assistance from Library staff.
- Renewals are subject to the Library’s renewal policy and availability of the resource.
- Overdue materials may attract applicable fines.
- Lost or damaged books must be replaced or compensated for according to Library policy.
- The Librarian may recall an issued resource whenever required.
- Users are encouraged to cooperate with Library staff and seek assistance whenever necessary.
- Suggestions and feedback regarding Library services are welcomed.
Library Committee
The Library Committee supports the effective functioning and continuous development of the Library. It contributes to decisions concerning library resources, services, facilities, technology, user needs, and the overall development of the Library as a learning resource centre.
The Committee helps ensure that Library services remain aligned with the academic and research requirements of the institution and its users.

Library Advisory Committee
The Library Advisory Committee provides strategic guidance for the development and effective functioning of the Library. It serves as an important link between the Library, academic departments, students, and the wider institutional community.
The Committee advises on collections, services, programmes, policies, infrastructure, technology, and other initiatives that contribute to a responsive and inclusive learning environment.

- Ensure the effective functioning and continuous development of the Library.
- Advise on the development of print and electronic collections according to academic and research requirements.
- Support the planning and effective utilisation of the Library budget.
- Recommend new services, technologies, and infrastructure improvements.
- Promote user-centred Library services through regular feedback and review.
